Find your meditation style and get into a flow state

Meditation is the practice of steadying the mind and bringing awareness inward. It’s a way of quieting the noise of daily life so you can connect with a deeper sense of presence, clarity, and peace. At its heart, meditation is not about “emptying the mind” but about training your attention— learning to notice thoughts without being swept away by them.

Different Types of Meditations I offer in all classes

There isn’t just one way to meditate — you can find a style that feels natural to you:

  • Breath Awareness (Pranayama & simple mindful breathing): Following the rhythm of the breath to ground and centre.
  • Mantra Meditation: Repeating a word, phrase, or sound (like So Hum or Om) to focus and align energy.
  • Guided Visualization: Using imagery to relax the body and expand the imagination.
  • Loving-Kindness (Metta): Sending compassion to yourself and others.
  • Body Scan: Moving attention slowly through the body to release tension.
  • Sound & Chanting: Using voice, music, or instruments to still the mind and vibrate into harmony.

A flow state is when you become so immersed in what you’re doing that time fades away and everything feels effortless. It’s often described as being “in the zone.” Meditation helps cultivate this state by training focus, reducing distractions, and balancing the nervous system — so whether you’re practicing yoga, painting, writing, or surfing, you can slip more easily into flow.
